Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using any MadoKaze product or service (including GameScout and this website), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our products. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services.

2. Description of Services

MadoKaze provides browser extensions, websites, and related services designed to help users discover, compare, and track product pricing across online retailers. Our primary product, GameScout, is a Chrome Extension that compares video game prices across Indian retail stores and notifies users of price drops. Features and availability may change over time.

3. User Accounts

• Sign-InYou may sign in using a Google account via OAuth 2.0. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. MadoKaze is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
• EligibilityYou must be at least 13 years of age to use our services. By using our services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• Account TerminationWe reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or if we discontinue a service. You may also request account deletion at any time by emailing support@madokaze.com.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Pro PlanCertain features of GameScout are available exclusively to Pro subscribers. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Razorpay, our third-party payment processor. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Free TrialWhere a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand. No charge is made during the trial.
• CancellationYou may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page within the extension. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until that date.
• RefundsWe offer a 7-day refund window from the date of your initial subscription payment. Refund requests must be submitted to support@madokaze.com with your registered email and reason for the request. Refunds for renewals are not provided except in cases of billing error. Refunds, where granted, are processed via Razorpay back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
• Price ChangesWe may change subscription pricing from time to time. We will notify you at least 14 days in advance of any price change via email or a notice within the extension. Continued use after the price change date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse EngineeringDecompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of any MadoKaze product.
• Automated AbuseUse our services in an automated manner (bots, scrapers) in a way that places excessive load on our infrastructure or circumvents rate limits.
• MisrepresentationImpersonate MadoKaze, another user, or any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or organisation.
• Illegal ActivityUse our services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian or international law or regulation.
• InterferenceInterfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services or the data contained therein.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, logos, and trademarks associated with MadoKaze and its products are the exclusive property of MadoKaze and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our products solely for their intended personal, non-commercial purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

7. Third-Party Services & Links

Our services integrate with and link to third-party services including Google Firebase, Razorpay, and Indian retail stores. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these third-party services. Your use of any third-party service is governed by their respective terms and policies. Price information displayed by GameScout is sourced from third-party retailers and may not always be accurate or current — always verify prices on the retailer's website before purchasing.

8. Disclaimers

• Accuracy of Price DataPrice data is fetched in real-time from third-party retailers. MadoKaze makes no warranty that prices displayed are accurate, complete, or current. Prices on the retailer's website are authoritative. MadoKaze is not a retailer and does not facilitate transactions.
• Service AvailabilityOur services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• No Financial AdviceNothing in our services constitutes financial, investment, or purchasing advice. You are solely responsible for any purchasing decisions you make.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MadoKaze and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use our services. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to MadoKaze in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the affected product at least 7 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage you to contact us at support@madokaze.com before initiating any formal legal proceeding — most issues can be resolved informally.
